Nandita works in strategic communications and policy analysis at the Office of the President in Seychelles. Part of the Cabinet Policy team, she also supports policy development, particularly around youth and sustainability issues. She is also a part-time project management consultant for Social Contract, an American company finding innovative solutions to complex public challenges.
Passionate about connecting people with purpose and inspiring democratic engagement, Nandita founded a Victoria Hub initiative called ThinkTogether to improve youth outcomes. ThinkTogether integrates solutions into the public education system that promote student voice, agency and entrepreneurship. It is set to impact over 300 students, fundraising over 15, 000 US dollars for the cause (https://bit.ly/2Olyblu). She is also the co-founder of SeyIT.tv, a free edutainment video platform that shares diverse stories from Seychelles with a call to action: she produced an 8-part docu-series, commissioned by the British High Commission Victoria, to introduce and engage fishermen in conversations around the Blue Economy and sustainable fishing (https://bit.ly/3eiFnt2).
Nandita served as Curator of Victoria Hub from 2019-20. Under her Curatorship, the Hub exceeded 20 members for the first time and grew to the biggest-ever with 33 Shapers. The Victoria Hub also cultivated strong national visibility, frequently featuring on national television and participating in the United Nations’ Voluntary National Review on SDG implementation. She also consolidated a Hub Governance Manual and project management tools.
Nandita completed her undergraduate degree in English at the University of St Andrews in 2016. She is currently a Master in Public Policy candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School.
