Conducted research at the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, the Philips Research Laboratories, Eindhoven, and as junior staff at Queen Mary University of London. 2003-13, Senior Researcher, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich; 2010-13, External Senior Fellow, Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS), Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Freiburg. Currently, Professor of Organic Functional Materials, Department of Materials, Imperial College London. Co-I, EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Large Area Electronics. Leads the €4 million EC Marie-Curie Training Network "INFORM" that involves 11 European partners. Chair, 2016 Gordon Conference on "Electronic Processes in Organic Materials". Has published more than 130 papers; holds six patents. Associate Editor, Journal of Materials Chemistry C. 2011. Current research interests encompass organic functional materials, including organic electronics; multifunctional inorganic/organic hybrids; smart, advanced optical systems based on organic matter; and bioelectronics. Recipient of awards: Rosenhain Medal and Prize, Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (2014); President's International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) Award for Visiting Scientists, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) (2015).
