Nchegem Gahia is an individual with a passion and commitment to international development. Her work covers Security & Governance, Peacebuilding, Gender Issues, as well as the Public Health sector. She works with a wide range of stakeholders and practitioners in advocating and ensuring that Nigerian citizens become involved in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as stipulated by the United Nations. She has 5 years’ progressive fieldwork experience in Non-Governmental Organizations like Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND), Stakeholder Democracy Network (SDN), DevTech Systems, New Incentives, Family Health International (FHI360) and Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO). She has measurable experience in program quality & strategic information management, including health system strengthening and implementation protocol.
She currently works as a Project Coordinator in the Niger Delta Youth Employment Pathways NDYEP) Project with PIND Foundation where she plays a vital role in project planning, development, and implementation. She also coordinates youth employment programme interventions across different sectors in the project's target states.
In addition to her professional work, she is deeply involved in numerous voluntary engagements within the development space.
