Nicola Hove is the founder and CEO of Liberta & Uhuru Mining, a strategy and corporate communications consulting firm dedicated to supporting mining investors in making data-driven and market-intelligent investment decisions that bring value, transformational growth and practical turn-key solutions. 2018 saw the appointment of Hove as Executive Director of Malayalam Mining, an Indian-led and financed gold processing and servicing company. Her previous roles at DN Mining Syndicate included leading the investor relations division and providing strategic corporate communications to the partners and mining investors. This integrated contract mining agency specialised in surface mining operations, carbon-in-pulp (CIP) structure construction, gold recovery technologies and mine dump management systems.
Hove has amassed solid and varied experience in corporate communications, investor relations, crisis management, mine acquisition, mining investments, contract mining, mining construction, project financing, project management and coordination.
Nicola frequently speaks and moderates at numerous local, national, and international business forums, drawing on her experiences as an emerging leader in the mining industry.
Hove became a Global Shapers Community member in 2014. She was elected to serve as the Global Shapers Community's Hub Curator for the Bulawayo hub in 2018. In 2019, the Women's Institute of Leadership Development (WILD) appointed her as an Advisory Board Member.
Nicola is a 2018 Mandela Washington Fellow (University of Nevada, Reno College of Business) in the business and entrepreneurship track. She continues to work towards her vision of becoming an impactful and efficient business leader with every given opportunity.
