Wole Hammond is a sustainability expert and strategist with extensive experience designing and executing green projects and integrating ESG practice into business operations. He is a consultant advising institutions on green transition and ESG integration for positive impact. With a demonstrated history of research, advocacy, and facilitation, Wole has worked within the clean energy and climate action sectors both locally and internationally. He also works in communication and media using storytelling to raise awareness of environmental issues and to promote sustainable development. He has garnered programmatic, business, and academic experiences working with non-profits and business enterprises in West Africa and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions. His work involves mobilizing green finance that has assisted cleantech enterprises raise over $1 million in investments to reach new markets and scale impact. He has also executed green skills programs targeted at young people to gain skills for green jobs. Wole led a state-wide program that sensitized over 1,500 students about the SDGs. He is a Climate Reality Leader; a Member of the Africa Photojournalism Database; and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper. Wole is the Impact Officer of the Abuja Global Community where he is responsible for supporting high-quality projects and tracking their Hub's projects and impact. He was also a 2020 Bakanal d’Afrique Fellow. He is a public speaker and thought leader who has spoken at various fora and featured in reputable publications. Wole Hammond has a bachelor's degree in urban planning and is the Deputy Manager, Environment and Climate at Clean Technology Hub.
