Wole Hammond is a sustainability and development practitioner with extensive experience in research, stakeholder management, corporate sustainability strategy, and project management. His work has seen him mobilize green investments into cleantech enterprises in emerging markets, support national clean energy policy development in Nigeria, and execute innovation and skills development programs.
Wole is also passionate about transformative leadership and civic engagement. He founded the Africa Forum for Intergenerational Leadership (AFIL) - a platform that engages, convenes, and champions intergenerational collaboration to address Africa's developmental issues in the 21st century. AFIL empowers generations to lead together across key sectors, including government, business, academia. and civil society.
He is a Climate Reality Leader and a 2020 Bakanal d'Afrique Fellow. Wole was previously the Assistant Manager, Environment and Climate at Clean Technology Hub. He recently co-authored a series of country reports titled 'From Risk to Resilience' on four African countries, including Zambia and Kenya. Wole currently serves on the Global Shapers Advisory Council.
