Executive Director of Apolitical Academy Global, Mobdiun - Creative Youth

Driven by authenticity, creativity, and purpose I am striving to make a lasting impact in the world. Tech engineer, former politician, and social entrepreneur, I have a 360 degrees public policy experience with a strong focus on democracy and peace building. After being part of the Tunisian Revolution in 2011, and twice running for Parliament, I was appointed Senior Advisor to the minister of Finance of Tunisia where I spearheaded open governance, state budget transparency, and tax system reforms. Building on my cabinet experience, and as consultant for multi-lateral institutions such as the World Bank, the European Union, and the United NationsI, I contributed to policy dialogues and technical assistance programs to the Tunisian government on several critical reforms including financial sector, public governance, and youth inclusion. For the past eight years, I have been founding and running Mobdiun, a peace organization that counters violent extremism and advocates for inclusive and feminist security policies. I also have been at the source of building the Alliance for Security and Liberties, a national civil society coalition for democracy and violent extremism prevention in Tunisia. Today, I'm thrilled to be the Executive Director of Apolitical Academy Global at the Apolitical Foundation. My work contributes to strengthening democracy by investing in better political leadership as we cultivate courageous, ethical and trusted 21st-century politicians. I have built my career between France, Tunisia, and the United States and my work has been recognized by several global leadership organizations such as the Obama Foundation, the World Economic Forum, and the Aspen Institute. I have an MS in Telecommunications and Computer Science Engineering from Institut National Polytechnique, ENSIMAG in France and have completed an Executive Module in Global Leadership & Public Policy of the 21st century at Harvard Kennedy School of Government as well as one-year course as an Obama Scholar at Columbia University in the City of New York.
