She is currently a researcher at Mexicanos Primero, a citizens' initiative to promote children's right to learn. Likewise, she is a professor of public policies of education and development at ITAM, Mexico City. During her master's studies in International Development at the George Washington University, Washington, DC, she focused her analysis in education and development with a strong conviction that education is the most sustainable effort to fight poverty and injustice around the world. During her master's she worked with Room to Read Nepal in DC and Kathmandu, on an evaluation of their life skills and literacy programs; she also did an internship with the UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok, Thailand. Before pursuing her graduate studies, she worked as a consultant on issues related to health, food security and education. She studied her BA in Political Science at ITAM, and during that time she worked at the Social democratic political party as a researcher for the creation of law initiatives related to gender equality.
