I am conducting academic research at PIK on the sustainable energy transition. My research focus is on hydrogen, e-fuels, and energy-intensive goods, and I am modelling their global trade patterns using the REMIND Integrated Assessment Model and related tools. I am a physicist, mathematician, and computer scientist by training.

In my extracurricular activities, I campaign for evidence-based policy making through the use of sortition and deliberation, where I have co-founded the German initiative Klima-Mitbestimmung JETZT and have volunteered and worked for the Sortition Foundation in the UK for several years.
