Pilar Zarate is the co-founder of Bonda, a technology platform that uses analytics and gamified in-meeting activities to strengthen remote teams and cultivate happier workplaces. Pilar has extensive experience in leading multicultural teams across Latin America in the field of marketing research and international business consulting. She has worked with governments and major companies such as HBO, Nestle, and Bayer to gather insights for product innovation. Passionate about empathy and meaningful connection, Pilar's mission is to harness the power of technology to spread happiness. She has been at the forefront of multiple initiatives aimed at scaling social good through technology, including her non-profit HUG, which in partnership with the Colombian government, made a significant impact on the lives of over 5,000 families and kids affected by violence and internal war. Zarate has been invited to speak internationally on topics such as entrepreneurship, the future of work, and technology. She is a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers - a network of exceptional young leaders making an impact in their communities. She has been featured in top publications such as La Opinion, the largest Spanish-language newspaper in the United States, and in notable media outlets in her home country of Colombia. Zarate holds a certification from MIT in leadership for new ventures, and a BS in Marketing and International Business.
