Adv. Pravin Nikam is a lawyer, educator and the Founder of SAMAVESH (meaning inclusion), a non-profit organization advancing access to education, legal identity, and social security for students from marginalized communities. Through grassroots programs, policy advocacy, and mentorship, Samavesh enables young people to secure legal documentation, unlock scholarships, access higher education mentoring, and build 21st-century skills, breaking the cycle of poverty in a single generation.

Pravin’s commitment to upholding democratic values, defending human rights, and advancing equity and social justice has been widely recognised. For his advocacy on access to justice and education, he was conferred the National Youth Award by the Government of India, and in 2016, he served as a Commonwealth Secretariat's Election Observer for the Presidential Elections in Zambia. He was awarded the Chevening Scholarship to pursue his MSc in Human Rights and Politics at the London School of Economics, further strengthening his expertise in law and development.

His voice has reached global platforms such as the Global Citizen Festival in New York and Mumbai, where his work has been appreciated by leaders including UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed and Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

He has also been featured in BBC Marathi, MSNBC, Times of India, Indian Express, and other leading media outlets, where he has spoken on access to justice and education.
