Preston Kilgore

Preston grew up in Lancaster, PA and went on to study Sociology at Franklin & Marshall College (F&M). While at F&M Preston was accepted into the Socioeconomic Development program in South Africa through the Ware Institute at F&M where he developed and implemented programming that provided life skills and medical knowledge to those in Khayelitsha, South Africa.

Preston has been active in politics, working on federal, state and local elections to get progressive candidates elected to office. He has also worked with the Pennsylvania College Advising Corps where he was a College Adviser at KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy in Philadelphia and as the Assistant Director of the Lenfest Scholars Foundation, where he advised rural students and families go to some of the most competitive colleges in the country.

Preston currently lives in San Francisco, where he works as a legislative aide focusing on the intersection of politics, transportation, and technology and has been an advocate for community engagement and civics education within campaigns and grassroots movements.
