Ramesh Tipirneni is mining General Manager for
the India region and is also the Country Manager
for Caterpillar India.
In his role as a Country Manager he continues to
facilitate improved business results and
relationships in India with the support of the
Caterpillar organization. Ramesh has the
responsibility for being a trusted advisor to the
group presidents and business unit leaders
regarding business opportunities and challenges
within India, providing information and analysis
as required. Ramesh is also accountable for
external engagements and dealing with
government officials and the media.
Since joining Caterpillar in 1990, Ramesh held a
range of positions in manufacturing, 6 Sigma,
engineering, marketing and business
development. Ramesh possesses in depth
knowledge of the mining business, with years of
experience working with large customers in a
variety of functions.
He has lived and worked in USA, Fran ce,
Geneva, and South Africa before moving back to
India in 2013. Ramesh has a master's degree in
mechanical engineering from the University of
Missouri-Rolla and is a six sigma Champion. He
can speak English, Hindi, French and Telugu
fluently.
