Rhea Hussain

Rhea Hussain is a graduate in Social Work with a specialization in Livelihoods and Social Entrepreneurship from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Prior to her Masters degree, Rhea pursued her under graduation at Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi with an Honors in Political Science.
She likes to call herself a born diffuser with a calm temperament and a robust wellness regime. Travelling, music, writing and well written books are a few of the many things she permits to be moved by. With an innate need to do well for the society, she wishes to spread positivity through her hard work.
Rhea’s association with Balipara Foundation was in the lines of a Custodian under the broader design of Rural Futures – looking into various projects such as the Balipara Reserve Forest Ecological Restoration Project, the India-China Climate Change Center alongside leading the internship program and heading the Human Resources and Administrative Department at the Foundation.
She was also the Coordinator for Earth Day Network – India, looking into events, workshops and awareness camps held across Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim. The mission through these programs was to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide and in the Eastern Himalayas.
