Global Director, Capital Projects, Africa, Asia and Australia, Vale Mozambique

Graduate in Electrical Engineering. Formerly with a construction management company in Brazil, taking part in many industrial projects such as aluminium smelter, uranium beneficiation facility and thermal power generation. 1986, joined MRN - Mineração Rio do Norte; over 17 years, held several management positions in production and project implementation, latterly as Project Manager. 2003, joined Vale's Aluminium Division as Project Director of Paragominas Bauxite Mine; 2007, joined the Goro Project Management Team in New Caledonia; 2008, Project Development Director, Inco, Indonesia; 2009, Project Implementation Director, Aluminium, Copper, Nickel and Energy portfolio, Rio de Janeiro; 2010, led the Simandou Project, a greenfield iron ore mine in Guinea, with logistic operations in Liberia; 2012, leads Project Implementation Department for Africa, Asia and Australia, based in Mozambique.
