Roberto Herrera

Country Manager and Chief, InterEnergy Holdings

Roberto Herrera has over 24 years of power project development, construction and operations. He is the Country Manager for the Dominican Republic of Interenergy Group and a member of its board, Chief Executive Officer of La Compañía de Electricidad de San Pedro de Macorís and Vice-President of the Board and Executive Director of Consorcio Energetico Punta Cana Macao (CEPM) and GEDOM. Previously, he worked at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic and at a local private bank. Current President of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic. Former President of the Red Nacional de Apoyo Empresarial para la Protección Ambiental (ECORED), a private sector association that promotes the implementation of environmental protection programmes at various levels in the Dominican Republic. Roberto is also a member of the executive committees of several private sector associations in the DR. Herrera has a BA in Economics and an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo. In 1997, he was awarded a British Chevening Scholarship to earn a Master's in Business Economics at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.
