Extensive experience in the Foreign Ministry with positions as Director-General of Economic Relations in Latin America and the Caribbean. 1995-99, Ambassador of Mexico to Uruguay and Permanent Representative to the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI); 1999-2004, Ambassador of Mexico to the Republic of Korea, 2004-09, Ambassador of Mexico to India. Since 2009, Head of the Economic Relations and International Cooperation Unit, Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, responsible for implementing a strategy of linkage with the National and International Private Sector on Climate Change.
