Rúni M Hansen is a Faroese national who is the Head of Statoil’s Arctic Unit and member of Statoil´s worldwide exploration management team. He has had extensive experience of the international oil and gas industry. For a number of years he has been the country manager for Statoil in charge of operations in the Faroes and Greenland, including operated drilling campaigns. He has also been the manager of Commercial and Negotiations for Europe and North Africa in Statoil. Rúni M. Hansen is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE) listed company Bakkafrost. He is a member of the World Economic Forum´s Global Agenda Council on the Arctic. He holds a MSc in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and a DBA from the Management School of Lancaster University.
