Sakari Teerikoski is a former Curator and Vice Curator of Global Shapers Stockholm, and was part of the Global Shapers #Davos50 delegation in 2023.
He is an engineer from Finland working in the space satellite sector. He is also the former President of the Swedish Association of International Affairs, an organisation aimed at fostering knowledge about international politics in Sweden and internationally. He co-founded the Nordic Convention on International Affairs conference series and was the Project Chair for the Atlantic Forum's debut conference Transatlanticism 2020.
Sakari received his M.Sc. in engineering physics from Uppsala University (Sweden) and another M.Sc in chemical engineering from Åbo Akademi University (Finland), where he also actively participated in academic research. He previously worked at the EU Commission in Brussels (Belgium) within the fields of sustainability and transport.
Sakari participated in the fTalang Future Leaders Academy organised by the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise with Håkan Syrén, former chairman of the EU Military Committee, as his personal mentor. He is also a Climate Reality Leader, trained by Al Gore at the July 2020 Climate Reality Training.
Sakari is part of the Project Groups Coordination Team at the Space Generation Advisory Council and Operations Lead of YES-Europe
