Sally Davies

Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health of the United Kingdom

Professor Dame Sally Davies is the Chief Medical Officer for England and represents the UK at the World Health Organization (WHO). She also advocates internationally on the need to tackle the threat of Antimicrobial Resistance, with a recent high-level meeting at the United Nations General Assembly. In 2006 Professor Davies also founded the ‘National Institute for Health Research’. She has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (2014) and a member of the American National Academy of Medicine (2015).
