Sally Davies

Professor Dame Sally Davies advocates globally on Antimicrobial Resistance. She is a leading figure in global health, having served as a member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Executive Board 2014-2016, and as co-convener of the United Nations Inter-Agency Co-ordination Group (IACG) on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), which reported to the United Nations Secretary General in 2019. She was previously the Chief Medical Officer for England. In 2006 Professor Davies also founded the ‘National Institute for Health Research’. She has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (2014) and a member of the American National Academy of Medicine (2015).
