Dr. Dasgupta spent more than 34 years in Biotechnology research in various key leadership roles. Dr. Dasgupta has contributed significantly to the discovery of various biotech traits and led many breakthrough biotechnology programs. He is author of more than 100 papers in several international journals and also the inventor of 85 patents across various countries
Dr. Dasgupta a Ph. D in Molecular Biology, in addition to many technical and leadership roles, also worked as Director, Regulatory policy and Scientific Affairs at Monsanto company, St. Louis and also in India. He also worked as Senior Vice President for more than a decade at Reliance Industries Limited, where he established and lead the Synthetic Biology R&D.
Santanu is associated with several external bodies in India and outside including, different focus groups of World Economic Forum , Member of Board of Directors, Governing bodies and Research Councils of various organizations. Santanu is Fellow of Society of Life Sciences and an Honorary Professor at Amity University, Maharashtra. Santanu currently is President at 4NBio with a focus on Bioeconomy Ecosystem and strategic advisor to multiple industries
