High school student, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Led project working towards eliminating extreme poverty by conducting paediatric health camp and awareness program in underprivileged schools in slums of Colombo; won Global Teen Leader award from We Are Family Foundation which enabled her to attend Just Peace Summit in New York in 2008; co-ordinated Cancer Hospital project, donating medicines to children affected by cancer; conducted fundraisers in Colombo for hospitals in east of Sri Lanka in aftermath of tsunami; founded Kick The Butt, a teen anti-smoking campaign with merchandise proceeds used towards donation of equipment to lung cancer wing at Sri Lanka Cancer Hospital; volunteer in student exchange programme to build bridges between war-ravaged and other areas of Sri-Lanka. Active in public health, poverty relief and education.
