Sergei Guriev is Professor of Economics and Rector of the New Economic School (NES) in Moscow. He is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London. He has published numerous articles, including in the American Economic Review, Journal of European Economic Association and American Political Science Review. Guriev is a columnist for the leading Russian business daily Vedomosti and Forbes Russia. He also is a Member of Russia's Commission on Open Government, a Board Member of the Dynasty Foundation, as well as a Member of the Board of Directors of Sberbank, Agency for Home Mortgage Lending, Russian Venture Company and Alfa Strakhovanie. Guriev is also a Member of the Scientific Council of the Brussels-based think tank Bruegel and the Advisory Council of the Peterson Institute of International Economics. He co-chairs the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on New Models of Economic Thinking.
