Frustrated with the state of play of Korean mobile banking, SG (Seung Gun Lee) founded Viva Republica, and launched toss in 2015 with the vision to provide a financial 'super app' with radically better banking. Beyond standing at the forefront of pioneering financial services that were not previously available in Korea, SG is the first president of Korea Fintech Industry Association officially approved by Korea’s financial services regulatory body. SG’s experience at Toss positions him to be a significant contributor when determining the direction of Korea’s fintech industry. Prior to establishing Viva Republica, SG was a practicing dentist at the prestigious Samsung Medical Center in Seoul.
