Shanel is a student of the London School of Economics, International Program, studying a BSC in Politics and Economics.
Currently based in Nice, she will begin her masters this year in International Strategy and Management with the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.
Growing up in Zimbabwe and being educated in South Africa has left Africa in her soul, which is the reason for her devoted focus on sustainable development and development economics.
With various professional experiences in the textile industry in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique, the African economy is of great interest to her.
The environment is also an area of passion for Shanel, who pays great attention to her impact on the planet and seeks to raise the awareness of others.
Culture has also played a key role in her life, hence numerous travels and an ever-growing need to experience different cultures. She is also an active member of the Alliance Francaise, and is passionate about the French language as well as languages as a whole, speaking a total of five languages including English, French, Zulu, Afrikaans and Ndebele.
Global Shapers is now the platform on which she seeks to develop herself and expand her ideas in order to become a leader of tomorrow.
