Mr. Somboun PHONGSAVANH is the Chairperson of Shareholders Committee of Phongsavanh Group. The Group consists of more than 30 subsidiaries. He has led and provided professional advices/consultation/directions on developing new business opportunities across the group. In addition, he held many crucial positions, such as the CEO of the Auditing Committee, CEO of the Lao Central Airline (privately-owned airline in Lao PDR). As the CEO. Currently, he is the acting CEO of Phongsavanh Bank (the first private commercial bank in Lao PDR, established since March 29th , 2007).
Besides these, he has been leading a team to implement some major projects as follows:
-     Poverty Reduction Project, Village Fund Project in cooperation with government agency, Lao Front for National Development to develop modern agricultural production zone in many provinces across the country with the aim to enhance the agricultural productivity and reduce the poverty of villagers and community.
-     Development of 300 ha industrial and commercial zone in Vientiane as a new smart city with the design developed and supported by Singapore well-known company (Surbana Jurong).
