Spencer Lake is Group General Manager and Global Head of Capital Financing of HSBC since August 2013. Spencer was previously Co-Head of Global Markets (January 2011). Spencer joined HSBC in 2006 as Global Head of Debt Capital M&A Finance. Spencer is a member of the Board of ICMA since May 2011, Deputy Chairman since May 2013, and Chairman since June, 2015. Prior to joining HSBC, Spencer had a 17 year banking career with Merrill Lynch. Spencer holds a B.A. in International Finance and Marketing from Suffolk University, Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School of Business.
