Stephanie Leahy

Stephanie's background includes business development, partnerships and technical recruitment. She currently leads People & Culture for Amazon backed Series A startup, Splash Music - building digital music tools for kids around the world. She is passionate about impact investing, startups, the circular economy and the war on waste; she joined social enterprise PowerWells as a strategic advisor in 2020 as they scale their operations in Australia an Indonesia. She also has a strong interest in the future of work and is a huge advocate for remote and flexible work. In 2018, she spent the year working remotely from co-working spaces around Asia, Africa, Europe & South America.

She graduated with a Bachelor's of Business from Griffith University, and has since mentored at Startup Weekends and Hackathons giving guidance on how to create an impactful business. She is a member of Queensland's Gallery of Modern Art Digital Advisory Group, and currently volunteers her time to Climate Force and Foundations For Tomorrow - two incredible organisations lead by fellow Global Shapers. Her expertise sits predominately around how to build strong teams, organisational structure, culture action, hiring strategy, mentoring managers and organising volunteer programs.

In her personal life, she enjoys exploring new cities, museums and art, spending time outside hiking as well as scuba diving.
