Stewart Burns

Organizational and Financial Performance Consultant

Growing up in the Greater Lafayette area, I was fortunate to attend West Lafayette schools. That school system was truly remarkable as it combined urban and rural, as well as a significant international population influenced by Purdue University next door. Good fortune allowed me to attend DePauw University where I studied Political Science, and was heavily involved in student government, a nationwide collaborative on high risk behavior, and organizing the school’s largest philanthropy. I spent four months in Istanbul, Turkey. While a student, I spent three different semesters working part time for the Indiana State Senate, Governor of Indiana, and Indiana Secretary of State, one semester each.
I am now humbled to be part of the Governor Bob Orr Entrepreneurial Fellowship, a two-year post graduate fellowship tasked with, ‘Creating Indiana’s next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs.’ I work full time at KSM Consulting in our Organization and Financial Performance practice. Many of my clients are state or local government agencies, though not exclusively.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, assisting in Indy Do Day planning, contributing as a member of the Indy Plan 2020 – Work Indy Committee, the Orr Fellowship, and kickball are what consume my free time.
