Urban Point is the first and only telecom-powered incentives provider of buy 1 get 1 free and similar offers in the MENA region. Susanna and her co-founder began in Qatar, and after a successful launch with Ooredoo, expanded into Kuwait and Oman.
Urban Point won Entrepreneur.com's Mobile App of the Year Award 2016 for its innovative approach and value creation for all stakeholders, namely local businesses, customers, and the telecoms. In 2017, World Economic Forum selected Urban Point as one of the top MENA-region start-ups to attend the Forum’s Meeting at the Dead Sea in Jordan. In 2018, Urban Point was the only Qatari feature for Aljazeera's Entrepreneur series for the year. Most recently, Urban Point made it to top 12 best among 70 start-up finalists from emerging countries at the 2019 Seedstars Global Summit in Switzerland.
Susanna is US-born & educated with 6 years' management consulting experience in Germany and France prior to founding Urban Point. She has an MBA from the Mannheim Business School in Germany (2014) and BSc. in Math and Economics-Accounting from Claremont McKenna College (2007) in Los Angeles, California.
Susanna was the Curator of Doha's Global Shapers Hub from 2017-2018 which focused on environmental and animal rights topics. Previously, she was selected as a New Champion for the Forum's Summer Annual Meeting in Dalian, China. She was also invited as a virtual panelist for the Forum's 2015 Annual Meeting in Davos on the topic of 'Religion, a pretext for conflict?' with Tony Blair and Hamza Yusuf.
