Sylvester (Sly) Lee is a first generation American entrepreneur who is passionate about creating a more connected world through thoughtfully designed exponential technologies. He is co-founder & CEO of Emerge, redefining the concept of "teleportation" with a first product that transmits our sense of touch from a distance through XR (without wearables). As technologies progress and fuse, Emerge will create multiple products to connect people's emotions and feelings, on the path to ultimately "teleporting" our presence.
Sly is a realistic optimist and passionate scientist shaped by his seemingly divergent experiences growing up as a child of immigrants in Mississippi, USA, living and working in a leprosy colony in Hawaii, working in developing countries for 3 years, and studying exponential technologies at Singularity University in Silicon Valley, as part of the first class sponsored by Google in 2015.
He is an Advisor to the Board of The Hydrous, a 501(c)3 nonprofit on a mission to fostering open access oceans.Their methods of 3D capturing coral reefs underwater have been used in over 20+ international universities and NGOs.
