Ted is the President and CEO of Oliver Wyman and Marsh Management Consulting based in London. His career at the firm spans nearly three decades, during which he has held multiple senior leadership roles, including serving as Global Head of Industries and, before that, as Global Head of the Financial Services Practice.
With deep expertise at the intersection of strategy, risk, and transformation, Ted has worked closely with chief executives, boards, and senior leaders across global financial institutions. His strategic vision and operational leadership have shaped the firm’s work across investment banking, corporate and institutional banking, and enterprise-wide transformation. Earlier in his career, he led European Financial Services and served as Global Head of the Corporate and Institutional Banking Practice.
Ted’s consulting work spans portfolio and business-line strategy, financial-resource optimization, operating-model redesign, and front-to-back transformation. He has advised global bulge-bracket banks on firm-wide strategic initiatives, regularly engaging with executive committees on issues ranging from regulatory reform to balance-sheet efficiency. He also advises policymakers, industry bodies, and regulatory authorities on the development of sound policy and rule-making.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Ted specialized in mathematics and control engineering. In 2010, he was named to the Financial News “Rising Stars” list, recognizing the most influential emerging leaders in European financial services.
