Graduated from South China University of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree,Tomson Li is the founder and Chairman of TCL. Li was a delegate to the 16th CPC National Congress; a deputy to the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th National People's Congress; Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce; the first Director-General of the China Manufacturing Industry Innovation Alliance(CMIA); and Honorary Chairman of Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce. In December 2018, Li was honored as a “Reform Pioneer” by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council at the conference celebrating the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up. In February 2021, Li was awarded the 2021 David Sarnoff Industry Achievement Award by the Society for Information Display (SID).
