He is the Founder of Angels of Hope Foundation a charity organisation that takes care of orphans, traumatised women, and people with special disabilities in Nigeria. He has executed over 100 projects in Nigeria and impacted over 60,000 lives through his projects.
Umar has garnered several experiences working in the Humanitarian/Community space & has been recognized by major organisations.
He was the Meet The Leader Series Manager of the Abuja hub and also served as the Deputy- Curator of the hub.
Umar together with a team, initiated the start-up of the first E-clinic in Kano State (CORA e-Clinic) due to the Covid-19 pandemic which has saved many lives. He also started an initiative under his foundation which has provided palliatives to over 700 families across Nigeria during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
He was part of the Abuja Hubs climate reality project (Climate Grant Action) where over 4,000 trees were planted by Grantees.
He is an HR executive in an Oil and Gas Subsidiary and a Senior Associate in a Consultancy Firm.
Umar is the Project Director of of KIT Academy, a capacity development centre that trains youths in Nigeria. The academy provides capital for the participants after the training.
He has been listed as the top 100 youths making a positive impact in Nigeria and has been nominated as the Social Entrepreneur of the year. He is an advocate for community development, a mentor to a lot of aspiring community service advocates and he sits on the board of several NGOs.
