As Chair of the Council of AI Governance, Var Shankar helps organizations use AI in alignment with applicable laws, frameworks and best practices. He is a member of the OECD's Network of Experts on AI, a member of the Brookings Forum for Cooperation on AI, and a Co-Instructor of Kaggle’s AI Ethics course.

A graduate of Harvard Law School, Var previously practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and worked on the Clinton Global Initiative.
