Vera Siesjo

Head of Social and Climate, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

Vera Siesjö has over fifteen years of international experience in global health, planetary and one health and health system development. Prior to joining AIIB she served in many different organizations including as an Advisor to the Swedish Development Corporation Agency, as the Senior Program Officer at the Defeat NCD Partnership at UNOPS in Geneva, health system consultant to the Asian Development Bank, and as the Country Director of ACCESS Health International in the Philippines and Indonesia. In these organizations she led work on health financing, healthcare quality and process improvement, climate and health, digital health, people-centered healthcare and health policy and system research. Ms Siesjö was also part of managing the Center for Health Market Innovation and was one of the initial managing member of the Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage. Ms Siesjö, has also co-founded E-Pharma and served as an advisor to several startups in the health sector. She has a Master of International Public Health for University of Sydney.
