Vivianne Heijnen

Minister for the Environment, Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management of the Netherlands

Vivianne Heijnen is the Minister of the Environment of the Netherlands. Her portfolio includes the transition to a circular economy and other environmental issues such as hazardous substances, biocides and crop protection outside agriculture, air quality, traffic emissions and fuels. In addition, she's also responsible for public transportation and bicycle policy, and sustainable transportation. Prior to her role in Cabinet-Rutte IV, she was Alderman for economy, housing, (EU) regionalization and social innovation in the municipality of Maastricht
