Waleed leads the Digital Transformation and growth of the Out of Store business. Previously, Founder & CEO of, Mumm, an online platform for home-based cooks providing their food for customers. Mumm harnessed the power of shared economy in food through Cloud kitchens and an online marketplace for home-cooked food, enabling home-based women to start their own businesses. It was considered one of the 100 Startups shaping the 4th industrial revolution in MENA. Waleed is a seasoned entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in Food-Tech and FMCG management. Degree in Business Administration, American University, Cairo. Formerly: 4 years with Procter & Gamble, latterly as Market Strategy & Planning Manager; late 2011, joined Red Sea World as Business Development Manager; early 2013, assumed leadership as General Manager, Red Sea World Group, until February 2014; April 2013, simultaneously, started Favorito, a gourmet shop and restaurant; Founding Managing Director, MIT Technology Review-Middle East Edition. Waleed previously was on the Advisory Committee of the Global Shapers Community, An Expert Group Member on E-commerce of the World Economic Forum, an Advisory Board member of Al Maqarr and a Startups Mentor at Flat6Labs.
