Wang Yun

Head of Unit of Institute of Economic Research, National Development and Reform Commission

Ms. Wang Yun is currently the senior research fellow and Head of Unit of Institute of Economic Research, NDRC. She got Ph.D. in economics from Peking University in 2006. Her research interests include consumption economics, fiscal system and development strategy. She attended the international fiscal system reform training in Australia in 2007. She has a good communication ability in English.
Her research interests include macroeconomics, development strategy and public finance. She advices NDRC and State Council on major economic policies issues. She has been engaged in the follow-up study of the consumption situation and focus on the consumption policy system for a long time. She involved in many major policy-making projects in China, including ‘Research on the Consumption Upgrading of China’, ‘Thoughts and Countermeasures on Expanding Consumption Demand in the period of 12th 5-year Plan’, 13th 5-year plan, equalization of basic public services in China, China 2020 strategy and etc.. She also participated in many international cooperation research projects in the fields of economic growth and development strategy. She has published over 70 papers in many important academic journals and more than 6 books.
