As WBA/WBO Heavyweight Superchampion, IBF/IBO Heavyweight Champion and The Ring Magazine Heavyweight World Champion, Wladimir Klitschko stands head and shoulders above the other title holders in the division. Together with his older brother Vitali, WBC World Heavyweight Champion, they are the first siblings in boxing history to hold all heavyweight titles in one family. The 1996 Olympic Gold medalist received his Ph.D. from the University of Kiev in Sports Science in 2001. Wladimir is also a popular media figure, appearing on various national programmes as well as playing a role in the blockbuster Ocean’s Eleven, and German movies Keinohrhasen and Zweiohrküken. Wladimir is a prominent figure at gala events such as Laureus, Golden Camera, Echo, MTV Music Awards or Felix Burda Foundation. He has been awarded with Bambi twice, UNESCO Champion for Sport, GQ Man of the Year and the Sports Marketing Prize. In 2011, Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko’s movie Klitschko premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in New York and has been shown globally. It is an in-depth look of the journey from their humble beginnings in the Soviet Union to achieving their goal of becoming heavyweight world champions.
