Diplomat with more than 10 years' experience in Korean Peninsula issues. With Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China: 2004, inaugural Director, Office for Korean Peninsula Issues, dealt with nuclear issues on Korean Peninsula and issues relating to Six-Party Talks between China, the two Koreas, Japan, Russia and the US; 2005, Counsellor, Department of Asian Affairs, involved in planning, drafting, and negotiating Joint Statement of six nations talks; experience in policy planning and analysis at the Ministry and Development Research Centre, State Council of China. Recipient of awards: China National Award for Outstanding Contributions to Social Science Studies (1999); Honourable Subsidies for National Distinguished Experts, State Council of China.
