Zainab Rahima Aminu is a development professional with extensive experience in strategy and project management. She is the Programme Coordinator for the World Bank Digital Jobs in Nigeria Programme where she is implementing a $1m project targeted at providing disadvantaged groups in Nigeria with digital entrepreneurship and digital skills to leverage economic opportunities. She has served in the Emergency Coordination Centre for the North East in Nigeria. There, she supported the Chief Humanitarian Coordinator in ensuring that there is synergy between government and humanitarian actors tackling the humanitarian crisis in the region.

As Director for Special Projects in the Abuja Global Shapers Community, Rahima has developed several projects including the North East School initiative where 1,000 children in the North-East were provided with school kits and school uniforms across three states. She has also supervised the implementation of the Amana Initiative – a programme, designed in partnership with the United States Embassy to foster trust between youth and security agencies of government.

Rahima has implemented several developmental causes including the “FeedAVillage” campaign where she raised funds and awareness for a village of people living with Hansen’s disease; and a feeding programme for malnourished children in partnership with Africare.

Rahima’s interests include international development, strategic management, and consultancy.
