Dr. Zhao Hai is a Senior Fellow of the Institute of World Economic and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Director of International Political Studies at the National Institute for Global Strategy (NIGSCASS). His research interests range from China-US strategic relations to Asia-Pacific political economy and the Belt and Road Initiative. Previously, he worked as a research fellow at the National Strategy Institute at Tsinghua University. Dr. Zhao holds a PhD of International history from the University of Chicago. He is an opinion writer for the China Daily, and a frequent commentator for the China Global Television Network and China Radio International.
