Founding Director, Beijing Energy Efficiency Center (BECon)

Degrees in Physics and Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing. Over 20 years' experience in energy efficiency in China, energy and environmental policy analysis. Formerly: Director-General, Energy Research Institute, National Development and Reform Commission; instrumental in developing US$ 200 million World Bank and GEF loan for energy efficiency service companies in China. Currently, also: Professor; Deputy Director, for US$ 65 million China Green Lights programme; Lead Representative from China to Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
