Geneva, Switzerland, 12 October 2016 – The World Economic Forum will close media accreditation for the first Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils, which will take at the Madinat Jumeirah Convention Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 13-14 November 2016.

The meeting, held in collaboration with the government of the United Arab Emirates, is the inaugural event of the Forum’s Network of Global Future Councils. Consisting of 35 distinct councils of world-leading experts, the network’s mandate is to generate new and original ideas that will prepare the world for a future that promises to be vastly different than what exists today. Challenges and opportunities that the councils will focus on include the future of economic growth, energy and trade, as well as “enablers” of the coming Fourth Industrial Revolution such as robotics and artificial intelligence, biotechnology, blockchain and computing.

Media accredited to the meeting can take advantage of unique access to the experts whose knowledge will help define responses to a future world, and gain insight into the ideas and solutions that will be taken forward for further discussion at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2017 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, in January.

To apply for accreditation, please complete the form at www.weforummedia.org before Friday 21 October 2016. Late applications will not be considered. The registration guidelines can be found here. Only journalists accredited by the World Economic Forum will have access to the meeting. You will receive an email confirmation once your details have been processed.
