Crowdsourcing Platform

Shapers in the Vilnius Hub task local decision-makers to adopt more collaborative appraoches to urban development. Crowdsourcing proposals for city projects can bring fresh perspectives based on citizens' deep understandings of local conditions. Shapers propose the creation of a platform to engage citizens in city development by enabling them to propose small-scale infrastructure initiatives that can have a big impact on urban areas. For example, car sharing to expand affordable mobility, volunteers to make information more accessible or student coalitions to provide digital skills training to the elderly, municipalities can benefit by mobilising citizens to take an active part in shaping urban projects. This will enable municipalities to learn beyond its own capabilities and through collective intelligence, achieve better results.
