Fintech for Sustainability Hackathon

The Manama Hub is hosting a fintech hackathon targeted towards university students and professionals. Participants are asked to create business ideas leveraging financial technology to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 


The competition is done in partnership with Bahrain Fintech Bay (fintech incubator) and the BENEFIT Company (Bahrain's credit bureau and national banking network) along with support by the UNDP, EY, the Central Bank of Bahrain and other partners. 


The Hackathon accepted 50 applicants, who formed 7 teams and are currently working on their projects for 4 months. During the 4 months, participants are receiving mentorship from business experts.


3 winning teams will be chosen. Winners get cash prizes of $7K, $3K and $3K
