Warm Wishes and Heartfelt Congratulations

The women of aidha send warm wishes and heartfelt congratulations to our families, to our friends, and, most especially, to all the members of the World Economic Forum community on this 100th celebration of International Women’s Day.
Today, 8 March 2011, is a great day – a day of remembrance and of celebration. It is a day when the world and its leaders will pause to recognize the strength and achievement of women.
While the speeches are delivered and the innumerable fetes are enjoyed, aidha and its students will also mark the day. Our celebrations will be simple, however. And, our applause will be less for our own strength and accomplishment than for the gifts we receive from others. We all – the thousands of women's in aidha's circle – know our own strength. We have always had it. We are born with it. We know that as women we carry the world on our shoulders. With our love, we lift lives.
We do not need a unique day on which to recognize this strength. But at aidha we nonetheless appreciate today as a time to send thanks to all of you. You are our friends and neighbors, our children and loved ones. You are our teachers and benefactors. You are the inspiration for our love, and so, you are the motivation for our work.
We women are strong in ourselves but, in truth, we are greatest in our relationship with you.
Happy International Women’s Day! With thanks from all the women of aidha.
