Dream, economy and future

Dong Jiaoyang

This video starts with exploring relations between “dream, economy and future” and introduces the theme “dreams create the world and economy changes the future”by quoting some movie lines.

The video also expresses our concern over the consequences caused by economic growth pattern featured by excessive input, high energy consumption and serious pollution in some countries and regions.

This is neither the future we are dreaming about nor an inevitable result of economic growth, so we see in the video the solar eclipse end and the sun shine again, showing we are confident about realizing our dreams of sustainable economic growth with a sound structure and balanced domestic and international development. By comparing videos produced in the past with that produced nowadays, we can see how sound economic growth has changed our life, including increased consumption, tertiary industry advancement, human-capital-intensive development, accelerated urbanization, technological innovation, and efficient resource allocation.

We sincerely hope the “2012 Summer Davos” will be a complete success, gathering leaders and elite from different fields to drive global prosperity.
