Aaron Zubaty is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eolian, a leader in clean energy and battery energy storage development and operations across the US. He has over two decades of experience in clean energy investment and infrastructure development. Before founding Eolian in 2020, he was a Managing Partner and one of three firm owners at MAP Energy, where he built and led its renewable energy and energy storage investment platform. Under his leadership, the Eolian team completed a spinout transaction with Global Infrastructure Partners Fund IV (now part of BlackRock), securing over $2.5 billion in equity capital. Over his career, Aaron has worked on and financed more than 32 GW of operating renewable energy and battery storage assets representing over $60 billion in investment, helping establish Eolian as one of the largest developers and operators of grid-scale battery storage in the United States. Earlier in his career, he held development and finance roles at AES Corporation, where he led major power projects across Europe and Africa and was one of the managers of the privatized utility serving the country of Cameroon. Aaron holds both a BS in Earth Systems (Energy Engineering) and an MS in Civil Engineering (Fluid Mechanics and Hydrology) from Stanford University.
